About the Role
Branksome Hall seeks a native French language instructor for its International Language instruction program for the 2026-27 academic year. The role involves teaching fluent students to analyze French literature and texts, reporting on student progress, and communicating with parents. Classes are held on campus between 3:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. on Tuesdays or Wednesdays.
Responsibilities
- Classroom instruction for one grade 9 French class of up to 5 students.
- Instruct students who are fluent in the language, focusing on literature and text analysis.
- Review and provide feedback on student work to students and the International Language Coordinator.
- Formally report on student progress to students and parents, and communicate updates to parents as agreed upon.
Requirements
- Native fluency in French.
- Minimum three years of teaching experience.
- Experience teaching higher-level thinking to fluent students.
- Knowledge of relevant technology and ability to work in a laptop and online environment.
- Adept at delivering education programs electronically and using electronic communication.
- Possesses strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with little direct supervision.
- Strong time management skills.
- Utilize all required and recommended computer applications.
