About the Role
As a Façade and Roof Package Lead, you will own the development, coordination, and delivery of facade and roofing packages. You will collaborate with Project Leads, architects, consultants, contractors, and specialist suppliers to translate architectural concepts into buildable, high-quality solutions while maintaining design intent.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design, documentation, specification, and delivery of complex architectural projects.
- Lead facade and roof packages, coordinating their development from design through documentation and delivery.
- Develop, modify, and review architectural details, drawings, and documentation for building envelopes, facades, and roofing.
- Ensure facade and roof solutions align with the overall architectural vision and design intent.
- Coordinate architectural interfaces between facade, roof, structure, services, waterproofing, and other building elements.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and suppliers to resolve technical and design requirements.
- Coordinate and review information from facade engineers, structural engineers, and other specialist consultants.
- Identify and resolve design and coordination issues collaboratively with the project team.
- Participate in design reviews, coordination meetings, workshops, and stakeholder presentations.
- Review drawings, models, mark-ups, and specialist information for alignment with architectural intent and project requirements.
- Manage assigned tasks and package deliverables to meet project timelines and quality expectations.
- Build strong working relationships with clients, consultants, and internal project teams.
- Contribute to broader architectural design, documentation, and project delivery activities.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Architecture from a recognized university.
- Current Architectural Registration in Australia (Preferred), or ability to obtain registration within 12 months.
- Approximately 5-10 years of professional experience in an architectural practice.
- Demonstrated experience working on facade, roof, and/or building envelope packages.
- Experience developing and coordinating complex architectural details and interfaces.
- Ability to take ownership of significant architectural packages while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience working on complex or large-scale sports, entertainment, aviation, or major public projects is beneficial.
Skills
- Rhino (Grasshopper preferred)
- Strong BIM and Revit capability
- Knowledge of the NCC and Façade related Australian standards
- Ability to hand sketch confidently for technical and buildable designs
- Ability to present technical and design-related issues to clients and stakeholders
- Strong architectural design, technical delivery, and documentation capability
- Strong problem-solving skills
