About the Role
We are seeking a member to build a supply chain for spare parts and warehouses, and to manage repair consignment partners. As we expand robot導入 nationwide, we need to establish a system where necessary parts reach the site at the right time, regardless of where a failure occurs in Japan. This role involves designing and building this system from scratch, including spare parts inventory management, transportation network design, and external repair partner management (SLA design, quality control, cost control). The biggest appeal of this position is the significant discretion in architecting the "mechanism to keep the site running" in collaboration with inventory managers.
Responsibilities
- Optimize demand forecasting and inventory levels based on operational data and failure trends.
- Design and implement inventory placement and delivery flows from central warehouses to regional depots.
- Establish precise inventory management by developing rules for parts receiving, shipping, and inventory counts.
- Create operational rules for repair and refurbishment of parts to enhance resource circulation and cost efficiency.
- Lead the selection and establishment of warehouse facilities.
- Select logistics providers, design delivery routes and lead times, and build a nationwide uniform quality delivery network.
- Establish immediate and next-day delivery flows for failures to minimize downtime.
- Standardize transportation requirements specific to robots (packaging, delivery) to optimize cost and quality.
- Design collaboration flows with repair and maintenance consignment partners to function as an extension of the company.
- Monitor and lead improvements in work quality through KPI management and regular meetings.
- Negotiate contracts and unit prices, and manage costs with support from management.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new partner companies for nationwide expansion.
- Contribute to product improvements by analyzing repair results and parts consumption data and providing feedback to the development department.
- Create a foundation for nationwide expansion through documentation and process standardization.
- Consider the selection and implementation of ERP/CMMS suitable for the growth phase with support from related departments.
Requirements
- Business level Japanese proficiency.
- Over 3 years of practical experience in one of the following:
- SCM, inventory management, or procurement of parts/repair parts.
- Design or operation of warehouse operations or logistics networks.
- Management of external consignment partners or collaborators (quality, progress, cost).
- Data aggregation and analysis skills using Excel/spreadsheets.
- Valid driver's license (AT limited acceptable) for travel to sites, warehouses, and field locations.
