About the Role
The Clinical Services Manager (CSM) will collaborate with the Territory Manager, Customer Care, and Managed Care teams to address commercial and clinical needs within their territory, aiming to increase referrals and ensure patient adherence to product therapy.
Responsibilities
- Promote the benefits of insulin pump therapy and sell the OmniPod Insulin Management System to providers and patients through various session formats and continuing education offerings.
- Collaborate with Sales, Customer Care, and Managed Care teams to achieve sales goals.
- Assist with sales events, including pump clinics, support groups, information sessions, in-office educational events, patient nights, JDRF walks, and vendor days.
- Support Top Twenty Accounts and existing accounts, recording interactions in Salesforce.
- Evaluate and recommend Certified Pod Trainers (CPTs) and Super CPTs for consultant CPT roles.
- Assign patient trainings to CPTs or conduct training directly, considering business needs, costs, and timeliness.
- Provide regular product demonstrations to patients and Healthcare Professionals (HCPs).
- Oversee CPTs through face-to-face meetings, timely product updates, and by serving as a clinical resource.
- Assist with product training for new Sales and Clinical hires.
- Provide field feedback to management regarding customer and HCP training.
- Perform administrative duties accurately and on time.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Must possess professional, up-to-date credentials and/or certifications such as Certified Diabetes Educator (CDCES), Registered Dietitian (RD), or Registered Nurse (RN).
- State licensure is mandatory as required.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Must reside within the geographic area of the assigned territory.
- Requires regular business travel, primarily by car, within a defined geographic region.
- Involves overnight travel (typically 2-5 nights per month), with varying amounts of air travel depending on the territory.
- Work environment includes HCP offices, clinics, home office, and car.
- May require lifting up to 30 pounds for handling shipments, samples, supplies, literature, and transporting a laptop.
Skills
- 2 years of experience training and/or managing pump patients strongly preferred.
- Certified Diabetes Educator (CDCES) strongly preferred.
- Prior industry/commercial experience strongly preferred.
- Professional and polished presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, both oral and written.
- Self-starter with minimal direction required; highly flexible with good business acumen.
- Strong contributing member of the commercial team.
- Credibility and contacts within the diabetes community.
- Proficiency with computers.
