About the Role
Parklife Metro JV is seeking Building Site Engineers to join their team at Orchard Hills, Luddenham & Badgerys Creek. This role involves planning and sequencing construction activities, tracking costs, managing subcontractors, and interfacing with design and delivery teams on the Sydney Metro – Western Sydney Airport project.
Responsibilities
- Review and understand construction drawings, specifications and method statements
- Identify project challenges and drive the development and implementation of solutions
- Liaise, communicate and plan with the foreman and subcontractors on a daily basis to achieve target outcomes
- Prepare ITPs, material submittments and manage RFIs
- Assist in tracking project expenditures to help manage costs and avoid budget overruns
- Prepare documentation for procurement of subcontractors and suppliers
- Assist in the preparation of daily meetings, weekly reports, lookahead programs, etc.
- Monitor the progress and quality of works by conducting inspections, taking photos, and reporting back to the Project Engineer & Senior Project Engineer
- Ensure project delivery is compliant with project and quality standards, including all relevant documentation
- Ensure allocated work packages and resources are managed to ensure costs are within or below budget, and contribute to the achievement of project targets
Requirements
- 2+ years working as an engineer on a construction project
- Preferable experience in delivery stations, vertical or commercial structures
- Experience in delivering large-scale, complex building or infrastructure projects with top-tier contractors
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Outlook)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
