About the Role
Join a high-performing team at the core of the Amazon Ad’s ecosystem, responsible for the entire development lifecycle from feature ideation to deployment and operational excellence. You will have responsibility through the full product life cycle, from product strategy, prioritization and development to adoption and iteration. You will design and build high-availability, low-latency distributed systems servicing millions of users, mentor junior engineers, and foster a culture of innovation and high standards.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement software solutions across the full development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, architecture, coding, testing, deployment, and operational support.
- Write high-quality, maintainable code and actively participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback that raises the bar for the entire team.
- Identify root causes of operational issues and drive permanent fixes, continuously improving system reliability and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners — including product managers, stakeholders, and peer engineers — to understand customer needs and deliver the right solutions.
- Mentor and coach team members on software best practices, system design tradeoffs, and effective use of generative AI tools to improve productivity and code quality.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
