About the Role

BCG X is a collective of technology and digital experts within the global strategy consulting firm, Boston Consulting Group, responsible for business and product building using technology and data. We combine strategic consulting knowledge with advanced expertise in AI, software engineering, product development, and UX design to support client transformation from conception to implementation and scaling.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with diverse experts including strategy consultants, product managers, engineers, and designers to structure management challenges and design analytics strategies focused on business implementation and user value creation.
• Develop advanced analytics and models using machine learning, mathematical optimization, and statistical modeling.
• Drive projects for business transformation and new business creation utilizing Generative AI/LLM.
• Design and implement AI agents and data products, and scale their deployment.
• Build scalable architectures including MLOps and data infrastructure design.
• Translate analytical results into management-level insights and lead decision-making and transformation actions.
• Engage in management agenda through direct dialogue with CxOs.
• Gain experience across diverse themes and data in a cross-industry setting.
• Acquire upstream design capabilities to link analytical results to strategy and business plans.
• Participate in the design of data utilization organizations and business process transformation.
• Experience in launching AI products and data-driven businesses.
• Implement cutting-edge themes such as Generative AI, Agentic AI, and Physical AI into real businesses.
• Explore and apply foundational technologies like LLMs.
• Collaborate with leading global companies.
• Participate in external training and conferences.
• Rapidly validate promising technologies and reflect them in projects and products.

Requirements

• This position is for new graduates who are currently enrolled in overseas graduate programs and do not have full-time work experience. If you have work experience, please apply for the mid-career Data Scientist position.
• Expected to complete a Master's or Doctoral program in a related field between September 2026 and August 2027.
• Bachelor's degree completion candidates are not eligible.
• Development experience with Python.
• Modeling experience using machine learning.
• Research or internship experience in a related field.
• English proficiency (conversational level or higher).

• Ability to apply advanced analytics methods to real business problems, driving implementation and results beyond conceptualization.
