About the Role

This dynamic, multi-functional position involves marketing, business development, consulting, sales, communication, and customer engagement for ASCO Power Technologies, a brand of Schneider Electric. You will lead a direct, high-performance sales team and manufacturing representatives in the Southwest Area (Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, and Arkansas) accountable for all commercial activities required for the sale of industry-leading products, solutions, and services. Responsibilities include developing profitable growth strategies, sales forecasting, budgeting, business planning, staffing, coaching sales staff, pursuing key prospects, and negotiating sales terms.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a direct, high-performance sales team and manufacturing representatives.
  • Develop profitable growth strategies, sales forecasting, budgeting, business planning, and staffing decisions.
  • Provide coaching and development activities for sales staff to achieve sales targets.
  • Pursue key prospects, negotiate, and construct appropriate terms of sale.
  • Define markets, market potential, and appropriate sales strategies for the Sales Area.
  • Partner with customers and distributors to plan strategies, provide quality service, train customers, and offer support.
  • Anticipate obstacles and develop alternative strategies.
  • Formulate, communicate, implement, and evaluate strategic and tactical sales plans.
  • Maintain active relationships with customers and negotiate discrepancies.
  • Coordinate sales activities with other Areas and national account management.
  • Actively manage sales representative firms and maintain strong relationships.
  • Drive team collaboration with other Schneider teams to identify additional opportunities.
  • Develop and drive collective/strategic bid strategies.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor budget and asset control systems.
  • Utilize lean principles for process improvements.
  • Administer and/or establish company policies.
  • Be accessible to clients for support and inquiries.
  • Build constant relationships to drive specification adoption.
  • Travel to different locations within the Area to meet customers.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and local business gatherings.
  • Share relevant insights, industry trends, or helpful resources to position as a trusted advisor.

Requirements

  • Approximately 10 years of varied experience in sales, marketing, and product management.
  • Relevant work experience and/or established networks in the Electrical Industry are desirable.
  • Ability to excel in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Ability to capitalize on the convergence of Information Technology and Operational Technology with Schneider Electric’s EcoStruxure™ platform.
  • Self-confident and skilled communicator with demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence others across functional boundaries.
  • Ability to effectively challenge the status quo, network both upwards and downwards, collaborate and influence within a complex, matrixed organization.
  • Well-developed strategic planning and analytical skills, including a solid understanding of business finance.
  • Recognized as a strong performer with a strong record of delivering results and the ability to grow in the organization.
  • Ability to travel (35%+) as needed.
  • Must currently reside in or be willing to relocate to Dallas, Houston, or Austin, TX, prior to their start date.
  • Candidates outside of these areas who are unable to relocate will not be considered.
