About the Role
The Japan Sales Senior Director will lead sales and grow market share for AMD products across Server, Client, Pro Graphics, and Embedded solutions in the Japan market. This role involves managing the sales team, establishing sales strategy and partnerships, and developing senior executive relationships to drive revenue goals and market position.
Responsibilities
- Lead transformation planning, including market analysis and organizational design for sales and supporting functions.
- Act as a change agent within AMD Japan and externally with customers and partners.
- Collaborate with the country CVP to execute the transformation of the Japan organization into a cohesive team driving share growth.
- Directly lead the Japan Commercial sales team to achieve revenue, unit, and share goals across Commercial Client, Server, Pro Graphics, and Embedded segments.
- Create, execute, and maintain business plans for each segment vertical.
- Provide feedback on product roadmaps, enhancements, and offerings to improve market competitiveness.
- Assist in developing and implementing a Japan Commercial Enterprise strategy and tactical plan.
- Represent AMD with public officials, customers, trade associations, and industry bodies.
- Foster AMD C-Suite relationships with Key Enterprise customers in Japan.
- Comply with professional and ethical standards, and applicable laws and corporate policies.
- Enable and mentor the AMD sales team.
- Build programs with global account teams and technical leadership to accelerate AMD platform adoption.
- Explore new and innovative business models for growing business in Japan.
- Collaborate with AMD Business Unit product teams to maximize product performance, innovation, and competitive positioning.
- Align product and marketing strategy with the Japan market through collaboration with Local and Global Marketing and Sales teams.

- Existing senior executive relationships with partners and Enterprise customers.
- Previous success leading large-scale transformation programs within a global organization.
- Significant experience with Enterprise customers, government agencies, information technology firms, and other relevant organizations across the Japan market.
- Successful track record of positive collaboration and influence while building strategic relationships with key enterprise customers, OEMs, and partners.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely to the regional management team and keep them informed of operational status and plans.
- Experience in the semiconductor or technology industry.
- Proven track record of successfully attracting, developing, and leading world-class teams and driving sales success.
- Experience driving business in the Commercial System Integrators and Corporate Value Added Resellers.
- Competent English language skills.
