About the Role
R2Net is seeking skilled jewelers proficient in jewelry repair, cleaning, soldering, and sizing for its manufacturing facility in New York City. The role involves using talent to design custom jewelry or restore pieces to their original beauty, ensuring a Customer-First experience.
Responsibilities
- Work on raw casted metal to prepare for pre-polishing process.
- Leave all surfaces smooth.
- Achieve desired size leaving ring perfectly round.
- Ensure consistent ring thickness throughout.
- Identify areas that need repair.
- Solder gold and platinum heads to rings.
- Ensure not to damage/burn diamonds when they are in the ring.
- Size a gold or platinum ring without leaving a seam.
- Laser metal, clean and smooth pin hole areas.
- Remove porosity without damaging the ring.
- Mend cracks appropriately without damaging the ring.
- Perform jewelry assembly head half and full shanks, sizing up/down, retip prongs, solder rings, simple fabrication and repair.
Requirements
- Ability to complete a bench test for assessment purposes.
- Excellent organizational skills & detail oriented.
- Consistent regular scheduled attendance is an essential function of this job.
