About the Role
Supervise, coordinate, and oversee logistics operations, providing coaching, development, and training to staff. Identify and recommend improvements for facility, equipment, machinery, and processes. Ensure staff performance meets standards and business objectives are achieved.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, coordinate, and oversee day-to-day logistics operations.
- Plan and review logistics processes in collaboration with the Logistics Manager to meet company standards and customer service specifications.
- Establish work schedules and procedures, coordinating worker activities for optimal shift/team logistics.
- Accountable for site Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Collaborate with customers on all aspects of operations.
- Meet regularly with team members individually and collectively to monitor progress, track performance, coach, counsel, and recognize successes.
- Cultivate team spirit through Diversity and Inclusion initiatives and promote cooperation by improving internal processes.
- Conduct performance evaluations and recommend awards or merit increases.
- Address performance problems through corrective action and disciplinary processes.
- Understand labor agreements and maintain positive labor relations.
- Implement health & safety and security initiatives, practices, and behaviors, ensuring adherence to company rules and policies.
- Provide employee orientation and equip staff with necessary information, technology, and materials.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- College degree/Technical Certification in Business, Logistics, Transportation, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Three (3) or more years of supervisory experience in a warehouse environment or in Transportation.
- Three (3) or more years of experience in monitoring, evaluating, and rewarding employee performance.
- Three (3) or more years of experience in performance management, including progressive discipline.
- Three (3) or more years of experience preparing and conducting meetings (H&S and Employee committee).
- Three (3) or more years of experience investigating and reporting workplace accidents and incidents.
