About the Role
Provide safe and effective supervision of members in and around the pool area, including accident prevention, first aid, water rescue, and quality aquatic instruction.
Responsibilities
- Perform water rescue and first aid when necessary.
- Supervise pools, splash pad, and deck areas according to Club rules and regulations.
- Ensure pool, splash pad, and deck areas are safe and clean.
- Maintain orderliness of deck furniture and pool accessories.
- Instruct assigned swim classes following core and lesson plans.
- Organize and effectively teach classes according to Life Saving Society program standards.
- Start and end classes on time.
- Screen participants on the first lesson.
- Provide appropriate feedback as requested.
Requirements
- National Lifeguard certification must be current.
- Standard First Aid with CPR C certification must be current.
- LSS Swim Instructor certification must be current.
- LSS Lifesaving Instructor certification must be current.
