About the Role

As a Field Service Technician, you are responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and removal of brewing and serving equipment at customer locations. This role requires a hands-on approach to problem solving, strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to provide prompt and courteous service. Field Service Technicians play a key role in supporting the sales function by ensuring equipment performs reliably and meets customer expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritize and schedule service calls, equipment installations, removals, and preventive maintenance.
  • Drive a company vehicle to customer locations to perform on-site service tasks.
  • Install and remove brewing and serving equipment, utilizing plumbing and basic electrical skills.
  • Diagnose issues by observing equipment performance and using troubleshooting techniques.
  • Repair or replace defective parts, make mechanical adjustments, and test equipment functionality.
  • Perform preventive maintenance to ensure equipment longevity.
  • Manage parts inventory, including initiating purchase orders.
  • Open and close work orders using a handheld device, record parts usage, and document work.
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform regular inspections and maintenance.
  • Safely handle, label, and store defective or warranty-eligible parts.
  • Collaborate with sales representatives and customers to confirm equipment placement and service needs.
  • Support bench repair work or in-shop equipment servicing.
  • Report any property damage caused by company equipment and assist in documenting incidents.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Passing score on aptitude test may be required if diploma is unavailable.
  • 3 years of experience in HVAC, electrical, appliance repair, or similar mechanical field.
  • Familiarity with mechanical and electrical troubleshooting required.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • CDL may be required depending on location.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must successfully complete a pre-employment physical.
