About the Role
Valuation professionals at KPMG provide clients with guidance on valuation matters across multiple sectors, deal stages, and business needs. They determine the fair market value of equity shares, assets, or complex financial instruments for various purposes. Engagements include Purchase Price Allocations (PPA), Impairment Testing, incentive scheme valuations, and fund valuations. This role offers the opportunity to develop your career through multifaceted engagements, formal training, and mentoring within a collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities
- Understand the impact of transfer pricing and tax regulations on businesses and collaborate with KPMG member firms globally to assist clients with their transfer pricing goals.
- Research and analyze value chains and drivers across industries to evaluate transfer pricing options.
- Research and analyze transfer pricing benchmarks.
- Prepare deliverables such as transfer pricing reports, client presentations, and client communications.
- Collaborate with team members within KPMG US and global member firms to help clients achieve their business objectives.
- Perform financial analyses and develop financial models to assess the impact of intercompany transactions and transfer pricing policies using technologies like Excel, AI, Alteryx, Power BI, and KPMG proprietary tools.
- Stay updated on global transfer pricing and tax developments.
Requirements
- Must be pursuing or have completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Business, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or another quantitative field from an accredited college or university by the start date.
- Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Coursework or a minor in information systems, software engineering, computer science, or data and analytics is preferred.
- Possess strong technical, business acumen, critical thinking, and agility skills.
- Demonstrated ability to excel and drive strategic outcomes, with a professional demeanor and collaborative leadership approach in a dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated quality service mindset, strong technical aptitude, and ability to learn and navigate technologies such as AI, Alteryx, Power BI, and MS Office Applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to apply emerging technologies to enhance tax processes and insights.
- Excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills, with a feedback-oriented and resourceful approach to delivering high-quality work.
- Must reside within a commutable distance to the office and be able to travel to work locations using personal or public transportation.
- Ability to travel and/or work on-site at client premises as needed, sometimes with short notice.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
