  • Fund direct interventions, research, and high-risk, high-reward 'big bets'.
  • Undertake research investigations to answer key questions and work on literature reviews.
  • Conduct individual investigations into promising funding opportunities to assess if they meet recommendation criteria.
  • Contribute to reports or other internal or external materials.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate funding for opportunities.
  • Interact with UHNW donors as an expert, answering detailed questions about research.

Requirements

  • Excellent analytical skills.

  • Transferable skills from fields such as medicine, finance, or hard sciences are also considered.
  • Comfort expressing views numerically and working with quantitative frameworks.
  • Ability to understand and build quantitative models.
  • Ability to express nuanced evidence and complex concepts clearly.
  • Ability to identify potential HIFOs in new cause areas, relevant academic research, reports, and experts.
  • Good calibration of knowledge and confidence in beliefs.
  • Intellectual curiosity and openness to alternative viewpoints.
  • Conscientiousness and prioritization skills.
  • Good judgment in project duration and report content.
  • Ability to work well with others, communicate honestly and directly, and be open to feedback.
