About the Role
The Future Talent Program offers internships lasting up to 12 weeks, featuring projects within the Research and Development Division. These opportunities provide development and a chance to assess long-term career fit. Interns will be provided with necessary equipment. This paid internship is targeted to start in June 2027 and may result in involvement in a scientific publication.
Responsibilities
- Participate in molecular modeling and/or cheminformatics research, either in an independent project or as part of a drug discovery team.
- Employ data, models, and methods to drive hypothesis-driven drug discovery.
- Gain exposure to various research areas relevant to the drug discovery and development process.
Requirements
- Must be pursuing a BS/BA or Master’s/Ph.D. degree in a related field with demonstrated interest/experience in research areas relevant to the drug discovery process.
- Must have a strong academic background in chemistry, biochemistry, biophysics, informatics, computer science, or applied mathematics.
- Must have completed at least two years of studies toward a BS/BA degree or at least 1 year towards a Master’s/PhD at the time of the position start date.
- Must be currently enrolled in an academic program at the time of application and continuing education for at least 1 semester after the position ends.
- Must be available for full-time employment for 10-12 weeks during June – August 2027.
- Must select location when applying if multiple locations are listed.
- Must be prepared to submit letters of recommendation, a brief research statement, and a copy of their transcript if selected for an interview.

- Previous research experience in listed areas (preferred)
- Experience with cheminformatics approaches (e.g., chemigenomic data analysis, chemical reaction modeling, chemical databases or data management) (beneficial)
- Experience with molecular modeling approaches (e.g., docking, molecular dynamics, protein design, small molecule design, peptide design, quantum chemical calculations, and machine learning) (beneficial)
- Programming skills (preferred)
- GPA of 3.0 or higher (preferred)
