About the Role
The Solairus Aviation Maintenance Supervisor will lead all aspects of maintenance performed on assigned aircraft, ensuring compliance with airworthiness standards, company policies, and Federal Aviation Regulations. This role involves routine maintenance tracking, long-term planning, scheduling, financial responsibility for maintenance operations, and supervising maintenance personnel.
Responsibilities
- Conduct or lead all aspects of maintenance performed on assigned aircraft.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding airworthiness standards.
- Perform routine maintenance tracking.
- Engage in long-term planning, scheduling, and completion of maintenance events.
- Maintain financial responsibility for costs incurred associated with maintenance operations.
- Lead all maintenance activities of assigned aircraft, implementing established standards, methods, and procedures.
- Coordinate maintenance training requirements.
- Develop a budget for aircraft maintenance expenses, including parts, labor, tooling, equipment, and facilities.
- Supervise and approve expenditures related to assigned aircraft.
- Participate in the Safety Management Systems.
- Assume duties delegated by management.
- Supervise aircraft maintenance personnel, including cleaning and ensuring quality of work.
- Coordinate with external maintenance providers and conduct vendor evaluations.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, component changes, flight times, AD notes, service letters, and FAA maintenance instructions.
- Ensure compliance with Airworthiness Directives (ADs) and Service Bulletins.
- Remove unsafe aircraft from service and ensure airworthiness of returned aircraft.
- Ensure operational readiness of aircraft with minimal schedule impact.
- Serve as liaison between the company and the FAA regarding maintenance policies.
- Maintain certification and technical recency requirements.
- Perform internal audits of tool calibration and material control.
- Ensure availability of adequate tools, parts, materials, support equipment, and facilities.
Requirements
- Must hold a valid A&P Certificate.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in Corporate Aircraft Maintenance Operations.
- Demonstrates knowledge of the CFRs and aircraft maintenance standards.
- Proficient with planning, implementation, and direction of the maintenance programs and control system for the aircraft operated.
- Be a highly motivated individual committed to Safety, Regulatory Compliance, and Operational Excellence!
- Remains fit for duty and abstain from drug and alcohol abuse.
- Recent experience in Gulfstream G450 (6 months within the past 24 mos.).
- Must be located or willing to relocate to within 1 hour of KAUS.
