About the Role
Join the talented Orafo team at the Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco at Embarcadero as a Server. This is a unique opportunity to be part of the world's leading luxury hotel company, working in an environment that pairs a strong commitment to excellent service and authentic experiences with an emphasis on creativity and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Take guest orders and describe food & beverage menu items with vivid descriptions of origin, taste, and preparation.
- Communicate guest orders, including special needs or requests, to the kitchen and bar using the hotel’s point-of-sales system and coordinate food and beverage timings.
- Check completed kitchen orders against the guest’s original order and transport items to the guest table or lounge chair promptly.
- Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.
- Adapt to guests by reading each table to create a customized experience for local guests, international travelers, and residents.
- Properly and accurately close guest checks, process cash and credit card payments, and settle voided checks or complimentary meals.
- Breakdown, clean, and set-up tables and chairs.
- Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
- Assist with responsibilities and duties in other Food & Beverage areas during absences or heavy volume periods.
Requirements
- Experience working a minimum of 2-3 years in Food & Beverage and previous experience as a server.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, large team environment.
- Must be flexible with schedule, able to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
- Requires reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language.
- Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in the United States.
