About the Role
Deutsche Bank Wealth Management is a leading global wealth manager. Within the Chief Risk Office, Credit Risk Management oversees credit risks associated with Wealth Management products. This function assesses transactions, monitors portfolios, advances risk-measurement practices, and helps maintain a strong risk culture.
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio focused on recourse commercial real estate transactions within the Wealth Management division.
- Partner directly with Relationship Managers, product specialists, and clients to understand credit requirements and optimize risk structures.
- Provide detailed risk analysis, communicate decisions promptly and transparently, and clearly document approval conditions.
- Monitor the portfolio to identify emerging risks and assess the impact of market events on exposures.
- Maintain satisfactory portfolio quality by managing risk concentrations and limits within approved risk appetite and in accordance with policies and regulations.
- Work with internal and external auditors to ensure smooth audits and prompt resolution of issues.
- Support ad hoc projects as assigned.
- Maintain strong credit and operational discipline by ensuring proper trade booking, covenant monitoring, accurate credit term documentation, and complete, timely, and accurate risk-reporting information.
Requirements
- Extensive relevant experience in commercial real estate, including recourse analysis.
- Strong analytical skills and experience in corporate credit risk assessment.
- Understanding of a broad range of Wealth Management investment, lending, and derivative products.
- Familiarity with legal documentation and credit-risk considerations, including risk-mitigation features.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce concise, decision-ready credit reports.
- An open mindset and respect for constructive challenge and differing stakeholder perspectives.
- Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity and optimize workflows, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
- Strong analytical judgment and the ability to make independent decisions, explain the supporting rationale, and defend conclusions.
- Team-oriented, flexible, and self-motivated, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Ability to work effectively across cultures and personal styles, build strong partnerships with a range of stakeholders, and deliver high-quality work under pressure and within deadlines.
