About the Role
As a (Senior) Planning Engineer for Overhead Line Systems, you will contribute to railway infrastructure projects, focusing on the design and planning of overhead catenary systems. You will play an important role in enhancing the quality of life by developing sustainable solutions for a better planet.
Responsibilities
- Perform specialized planning services, including mast location planning, catenary routing, geometric design, static calculations for foundations and masts, and drawing creation.
- Coordinate with all involved trades in the planning project.
- Prepare cost estimates and cost determinations.
- Participate in the awarding process.
- Identify contractually owed services and differentiate from non-contractually owed services (additional services).
- Attend site inspections.
- Apply and further develop BIM methodology, AutoCAD, ProSig, BIM, ProVI, iTWO, and MS Office.
Requirements
- Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a comparable field.
- Professional experience in planning (railway) infrastructure projects.
- Experience in planning construction phases.
- Experience in creating specifications.
- Experience using planning tools such as AutoCAD, ProSig, ProVi, Microstation with OL-Designer.
- Knowledge of BIM.
- Knowledge of railway operations and technology.
- Knowledge of HOAI, VOB, and current legal regulations.
