About the Role
Daniel B. Stephens & Associates (DBS&A), a Geo-Logic Associates company, is seeking an engineering professional for challenging projects, career advancement, and a great work environment. This role involves supporting the planning, design, and construction of municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects, working with diverse professionals and tackling client challenges related to natural resource and environmental management.
Responsibilities
- Apply bachelor's or master's degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering to support the planning, design, and construction of municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Work on a diverse range of projects, including water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, pump stations, treatment facilities, storage tanks, and utility improvements.
- Travel to project sites for field investigations, construction observation, client meetings, and project coordination activities.
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies, municipalities, and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with and/or direct multidisciplinary teams of engineers, scientists, GIS specialists, and CAD designers.
- Present technical information to engineers, municipal staff, regulatory agencies, elected officials, and the public.
Requirements
- Experience or interest in water and wastewater engineering, utility infrastructure, water resources, stormwater management, treatment systems, or other municipal public works projects.
- Knowledgeable about engineering design, including plans, specifications, hydraulic calculations, technical reports, and cost estimating.
- Four or more years of professional experience.
- Willingness to travel to project sites.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and demonstrate strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and independent decision-making skills.
- Understand and value workplace safety and have familiarity with construction site safety protocols.
- Experience working with state and federal regulations applicable to public infrastructure projects.
- Ability to work collaboratively with and/or direct multidisciplinary teams.
- Highly effective in written and verbal communication.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to obtain PE licensure within two years.
- Eligible to work in the United States.
- Possess a valid driver's license and maintain a driving record acceptable to our insurer.
- Pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening.
