About the Role

Lead the development and execution of key marketing initiatives for national brands and/or brand portfolios across multiple regions. Develop and implement effective brand strategies to drive brand growth and success. Lead cross-functional teams to ensure consistent brand messaging across all channels.

Responsibilities

  • Lead comprehensive brand strategy development to support business objectives.
  • Lead consumer and shopper communication development and execution, including brand positioning, messaging, advertising, packaging, promotions, PR, digital, web, social media, and shopper marketing.
  • Manage outside agency partners (advertising, packaging, PR, digital).
  • Develop plans to maximize product portfolio and marketing initiatives to achieve sales, share, and profit objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop compelling positioning and messaging, create differentiation strategies, and identify unique selling propositions.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and external partners to manage and drive project execution.
  • Develop strong market-level and account-level support programs with sales and customer development teams.
  • Utilize syndicated data, consumer, and shopper insights to understand the business and provide strategic recommendations on pricing, merchandising, and competitive response.
  • Drive the new product process from opportunity identification to commercialization.
  • Participate in developing and managing the brand marketing budget, ensuring optimal resource allocation, monitoring expenses, tracking ROI, and reporting to senior management.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in marketing or related curriculum, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • 8 or more years of brand marketing, marketing (category management, trade, general), sales, or related experience.
  • New product launch/commercialization experience, including a strong understanding of the new product development process.
  • Certification and/or License may be required during the course of employment.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English.

Skills

  • Advanced knowledge of brand marketing/marketing principles and practices.
  • Strong knowledge of new product introduction and commercialization process.
  • Creative and strategic thinking.
  • Ability to develop and deliver compelling presentations.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret business and brand data through primary and secondary research.
  • Ability to translate consumer, shopper, and customer insights into go-to-market strategies and plans.
  • Ability to lead multiple projects and participate in a cross-functional environment.
  • Problem-solving, multi-tasking, work prioritization, and meeting deadlines.
  • Effective organization of time, energy, and resources.
  • Travel: 5%-15% (1-3 times per year).

  • 8 or more years of experience

Education Level

  • Undergraduate degree in marketing or related curriculum
