About the Role
Lead the positioning, capture planning, and proposal development of high-value strategic opportunities that drive sustainable growth across WSP's Property & Buildings markets. This role influences major pursuits, collaborates with senior leaders, and develops winning strategies.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Go/No-Go process for strategic pursuits, ensuring alignment with the Property & Buildings Opportunity Road Map.
- Develop and implement capture plans that position WSP to successfully compete and win major opportunities.
- Conduct market research and analyze competitive intelligence to identify differentiators and strengthen win strategies.
- Collaborate with business, market, and regional leadership teams to drive pursuit excellence and pipeline growth.
- Lead proposal development activities, ensuring strategic messaging, compliance, quality, and timely submission.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across technical teams, business development professionals, and external partners.
- Maintain opportunity records and reporting within Oracle and other business systems to support forecasting and decision-making.
- Champion continuous improvement by leveraging lessons learned, market insights, and innovative approaches to increase win rates.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing, Communications, or another relevant discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in strategic pursuit management, capture management, proposal management, or a related business development role.
- Demonstrated experience leading capture planning and developing winning pursuit strategies.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, including commercial and financial aspects of Alternative Delivery Projects.
- Advanced communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate compelling win themes and value propositions.
- Experience using proposal management systems, CRM platforms, Oracle, and other pursuit-related technologies.
- Proven ability to motivate and influence cross-functional teams in a matrix environment while managing competing priorities and deadlines.
- Strong analytical and creative thinking skills with the ability to identify gaps, solve problems, and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
