About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Tax Information Reporting & Withholding (IRW) Advisor to oversee and strengthen our global tax compliance framework. In this role, you will serve as the subject matter expert on domestic and international tax information reporting, withholding obligations, and cross-border regulatory frameworks. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure operational compliance, minimize exposure, and optimize tax processes. You will also advise on tax reporting requirements for new product developments, especially concerning Digital Assets.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical advisor on US Information Reporting and Withholding (IRW) rules and global regulatory reporting frameworks.
  • Write business requirements (BRDs) for software engineering teams and work with tax APIs or tax engines.
  • Oversee the collection, review, and validation process for tax documentation.
  • Ensure accurate calculation, withholding, and timely remittance of tax on US-source income and foreign partnership allocations.
  • Manage the end-to-end preparation, reconciliation, and filing of annual tax information returns.
  • Partner with IT and Operations to design, implement, and enhance operational workflows and automated systems.
  • Lead internal control assessments, respond to tax authority audits or inquiries, and manage risk remediation plans.
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory developments, assess business impact, and update policies, SOPs, and employee training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of dedicated experience in tax information reporting and withholding within a public accounting firm, financial institution, or corporate tax department.
  • Strong expertise in IRC Chapters 3, 4 (FATCA), and 61, as well as Backup withholding and OECD Common Reporting Standard (CRS).
  • Ability to translate complex tax regulations into practical operational requirements.
  • Excellent cross-functional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
