About the Role
CASES is seeking a Clinical Case Coordinator to join their Pretrial Services Case Management Team. This role involves conducting orientation meetings, assisting participants with compliance, assessing service needs, and developing collaborative service plans. The goal is to increase engagement in community treatment services and support participants in achieving their goals for recovery and crime-free community integration.
Responsibilities
- Provide supervision and community-based services to a caseload of pretrial participants.
- Conduct Supervision Introduction/Orientation meetings with new participants within 24-48 hours of release to review supervision conditions, reporting schedule, and communication methods.
- Collaborate with the court and pretrial staff to ensure participants complete mandated supervision appointments and court appearances.
- Review legal and court screening documentation to analyze offending behavior patterns and identify behavioral changes or supports to reduce pretrial arrests.
- Conduct ongoing service need assessments to examine psychosocial needs, including mental and substance use disorders, and motivation for treatment.
- Link participants to treatment based on eligibility, preferences, and needs, and provide escort to community services.
- Maintain collaborative relationships with community providers.
- Ensure a safe working environment by reporting hazards.
- Perform other duties as required by the Program Director and supervisory staff.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in social work, Mental Health Counseling or comparable professional degree.
- Minimum of three years’ experience working in human services with individuals with substance use disorders, co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders and involvement in the criminal justice system.
- Extensive knowledge of community treatment, support services and resources.
- Knowledge of the criminal justice system, court processes and alternative to detention/incarceration services.
- Experience using databases such as Salesforce.
- Must be able to sit for extended periods.
