About the Role
The Motor Vehicle Operator (MVO) is a critical position responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of patients. This role involves constant communication with patients, facilities, and coworkers, as well as operating and maintaining company ambulances and equipment while adhering to traffic laws. The MVO works alongside an EMT to respond to calls and transport patients.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain company ambulance and equipment.
- Maintain knowledge of and follow applicable traffic laws.
- Respond to ambulance calls as dispatched.
- Transport patients to their destination safely and efficiently.
Requirements
- Valid NYS driver's license.
- Must possess and maintain a clean driving record to be insured.
- Must be able to safely lift 250 lbs. with assistance.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
