About the Role
Pi is seeking a Product Marketing Manager to define and communicate the company's product story and launch new capabilities. This cross-functional role involves deep collaboration with marketing, product, and customers, translating complex technical features into compelling narratives for security leaders and engineers. The position reports to the VP of Marketing and requires exceptional writing, customer focus, and strategic positioning skills.
Responsibilities
- Own product positioning and messaging, developing clear and differentiated narratives that connect Pi's offerings to customer needs.
- Translate technical capabilities into simple, compelling value propositions.
- Engage with customers and prospects to understand their challenges and gather insights for messaging, content, and product feedback.
- Collaborate with the product team to understand upcoming features, develop launch narratives, and support go-to-market strategies.
- Create product pages, launch content, customer stories, solution briefs, technical collateral, presentations, thought leadership, and videos.
- Develop expertise in the product security and application security landscape, including emerging technologies, buyer priorities, and competitors.
- Equip sales and customer-facing teams with messaging, presentations, battlecards, competitive insights, and customer proof points.
- Contribute to defining the market category for product security, establishing narratives that position Pi.
- Support product and feature launches by understanding product roadmaps and developing go-to-market strategies.
- Enable the field with necessary messaging, presentations, battlecards, competitive insights, customer proof, and training.
Requirements
- 5+ years of product marketing experience in enterprise B2B cybersecurity technology.
- Product Security, AppSec, or agentic SDLC experience is required.
- Exceptional writing and storytelling skills, capable of clarifying complex technical information.
- Proven experience owning positioning, messaging, and supporting go-to-market strategies for technical products.
- Strong customer focus and a desire to engage directly with customers and prospects.
- Experience collaborating with product and technical teams, with sufficient technical understanding of product functionality.
- Deep understanding of enterprise buyers and the ability to communicate with both executive and practitioner audiences.
- Experience building competitive intelligence and translating it into positioning and field enablement.
- A demonstrated track record of leading product launches from positioning through execution.
- Ability to operate independently, prioritize effectively, and execute in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Low ego and high ownership, with a willingness for hands-on execution.
- Experience contributing to the definition or shaping of a new market category for an emerging company.
