About the Role
Floor & Decor's Sales Associates provide customers with friendly, accurate service and support in finding products for their projects. Associates contribute to a fast-paced, safe environment by keeping sales departments clean and well-stocked. This role is ideal for individuals who love to learn and have a passion for helping others.
Responsibilities
- Connect with customers, inquire about their projects, recommend products, and generate excitement about their purchases.
- Provide exceptional customer service and exceed expectations.
- Maintain assigned areas, ensuring they are clean, shoppable, and safe.
- Collaborate with management and team members to achieve sales goals.
- Process customer transactions at checkout using the POS system.
- Handle customer refunds and exchanges according to established guidelines.
- Follow established procedures for accepting cash, checks, and credit cards.
- Create price tags and merchandise signs.
- Stock, tag, and display merchandise.
- Act and work in a manner consistent with the company's core values.
- Demonstrate and understand compliance with the company's safety processes.
- Answer telephone calls according to company guidelines.
- Assist in other areas of the store as needed.
- Work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Knowledge of basic math skills.
- Customer service experience.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work well under pressure.
- Some positions may require completion of forklift certifications through F&D.
- Certification to use heavy equipment requires successful passing of a drug test where permissible by state law.
