About the Role
The Account Representative I is responsible for growing their book of business by converting competitor business and expanding assigned medium-sized accounts. This role focuses on customer satisfaction through consistent contact and expectation management.
Responsibilities
- Increases revenue and profitability through new business generation and existing account development.
- Generates new leads via networking, cold calling, and research.
- Maintains customer satisfaction through regular face-to-face interactions.
- Prepares customized quotes based on complex customer requirements.
- Delivers effective sales presentations and ensures technical requirements are met.
- Assists with on-site customer troubleshooting.
- Collaborates with vendor resources to build relationships and support sales.
- Performs other assigned duties.
Requirements
- Requires a bachelor's degree and 0-2 years of experience, or an equivalent combination.
- Requires a valid driver's license.
- May be required to be on-call nights or weekends.
Skills
- Knowledge of industrial products: power transmission, hydraulic, pneumatic, and industrial products.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient understanding of key sales principles and best practices.
- Ability to influence customers while maintaining healthy relationships.
- Ability to take initiative and work with limited direction.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
