About the Role

Spearhead operational excellence for select properties within our multifamily portfolio, actively contributing to strategic planning and guaranteeing the overall success of our residential communities. Make a significant impact and lead with innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Optimize daily operations, implement financial strategies, and monitor budgets.
  • Analyze monthly financial performance, rent variations, and market intelligence.
  • Prepare owner reporting packages, including budgets, business plans, and monthly owner reports.
  • Provide effective leadership and mentorship to property management teams.
  • Oversee acquisitions and dispositions, and communicate key issues to ownership.
  • Contribute to strategic plan development and execution.
  • Address escalated resident concerns and identify growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to adjust marketing plans.
  • Review leasing, occupancy activity, and approve resident retention and renewal programs.
  • Collaborate across departments to achieve property goals.
  • Ensure compliance with legislation, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Conduct frequent site visits and inspections to ensure property upkeep and compliance.
  • Uphold compliance with company policies, government regulations, and Fair Housing.
  • Review and inspect all Capital Replacement Plans.
  • Manage recruitment and retention of site employees, ensuring training milestones are met.
  • Perform duties on-site, including moving throughout buildings and communicating with tenants, staff, vendors, and visitors.
  • Travel between the main office and site locations within the portfolio.
  • Ascend and descend stairs and be comfortable with varying environmental climates.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated expertise in market rate and affordable housing.
  • 5+ years of experience managing a portfolio of 2,000+ units across multiple properties.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • 15 years of residential property management experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years in a senior management position.
  • Proficiency in navigating computers and community management software, including Microsoft Office, iLuvLeasing, On-Site, and Yardi.
  • Experience managing luxury, market rent, and rent stabilized assets.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise staff, manage operational matters, and solve problems.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Strong technical knowledge of building operations and maintenance.
  • Understanding of marketing trends, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Strong financial skills with knowledge of GAAP.
  • Work authorization required.
  • Must be present on-site and able to move throughout buildings.
  • Ability to travel between the main office and site locations.
