About the Role

The Senior Engineer functions as a technical leader, coordinating overall design activities, project submission schedules, and performing QA/QC duties to ensure client requirements and goals are met. This role is responsible for meeting established budgets and schedules.

Responsibilities

Performs independent planning and design tasks.
Reviews the work of others.
Prepares construction documents.
Successfully delivers projects to completion.
Maintains collaborative inter-departmental and cross-functional working relationships.
Applies knowledge of codes and standards applicable to project design.
Performs final QA/QC review of project submissions.
Develops schedules, technical proposals, and labor hour estimates.
Works closely with project teams to effectively describe and deliver the scope of work.
Promotes, utilizes, and supports quality assurance and quality control processes.
Performs and checks design calculations and technical specifications.
Prepares cost estimates.
Develops and maintains design budgets for complex scopes of work.
Provides guidance, training, and support to engineering associates and interns.

Requirements

Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
Minimum of twelve (12) years’ job-related experience.

Skills

Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microstation/InRoads, and/or Hydrologic and Hydraulic Software Packages for Site Layout, Grading, Utility, and Storm Water Management Plan design.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook).
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a project team.
Proven ability to lead and influence multidisciplinary teams.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
