About the Role
The Professional Liability Intern will utilize quantitative and qualitative analytical skills to assess risk profiles and determine policy pricing, terms, and conditions. This role involves ensuring proper file documentation and compliance, and assisting with departmental projects.
Responsibilities
- Focus on professional liability clients in the large corporate sector including Law Firms, Accountants, Construction Professionals, Consultants, and other Miscellaneous classes.
- Analyze underwriting submissions for new and renewal accounts.
- Assess various risk exposures, review policy wordings, determine price adequacy, and produce underwriting reports.
- Assist group in performing tasks designed to gain an understanding of the Professional Liability marketplace.
- Work with underwriting staff to analyze and improve broker relationships.
- Analyze notable trends and macro factors to help determine optimal portfolio breakdown.
- Research and present a final project to the Professional Liability staff.
Requirements
- Pursuing bachelor’s degree, preferably an incoming Junior.
- Self-starter, highly motivated candidate with a strong analytical aptitude.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
- Valid authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future.
