About the Role

Responsibilities

  • Produce written account briefs on prospective clients, including fund history, strategy, and key personnel.
  • Support the creation of client meeting materials and RFP responses.
  • Monitor market data and regulatory sources to identify new fund launches and service provider changes.
  • Track and report on industry trends, contributing written analysis to the commercial team.
  • Utilize commercial technology stack (Salesforce, Outreach, Preqin) for daily tasks.
  • Apply AI tools for account research, drafting, meeting preparation, and follow-up.
  • Contribute to the standard for AI tool usage within the commercial team.
  • Assist in researching and prioritizing prospective clients for senior sales partners.
  • Develop outreach materials, track responses, and help secure initial meetings.
  • Build a network of peers at complementary firms (law, audit, tax, consulting).
  • Track relationship intersections with coverage areas and identify referral opportunities.
  • Attend industry events and maintain professional contacts.
  • Represent Alter Domus and build a professional profile, including a LinkedIn presence.
  • Log partner contacts and referral activity in Salesforce.
  • Assist in building and validating target lists for sales campaigns.
  • Support campaign outreach execution and track performance metrics.
  • Contribute to campaign analysis, identifying successes and areas for improvement.
  • Work towards taking ownership of sales campaigns.
  • Map and prioritize attendee lists for industry conferences.
  • Support outreach to secure meetings before events.
  • Attend priority events and manage follow-up activities.

Requirements

  • Recent graduate or early-career professional.
  • Clear, confident written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to produce reliable research for senior stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for building relationships internally and externally.
  • Curiosity about financial markets, particularly private capital.
  • Developing analytical instincts and comfort with detail.
  • Resilience and self-direction to handle rejection.
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple competing workstreams.
  • Competency with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Comfort and curiosity in applying AI tools to commercial work.
  • Ambition for a career in commercial and sales.
