About the Role
Identify and evaluate Key External Experts (KEEs) and future medical stakeholders aligned with meeting scientific strategy, serving as a trusted advisor for scientific exchange throughout the product life cycle. Responsible for gathering field data to generate medical insights and delivering medical/scientific learning solutions to internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Support MSL Team Lead in deployment of tactical field plans for engagement with the medical/scientific community and management of overall Astellas business objectives.
- Serve as a coach, mentor, and a role-model for MSLs.
- Engage in scientific exchange, sharing knowledge about products, diseases, and therapeutic areas to ensure safe and effective use of Astellas products.
- Engage in discussions regarding evolving trends in disease state management and therapy.
- Engage external stakeholders in one-on-one interactions and group settings, demonstrating excellent scientific and clinical knowledge and understanding of stakeholder needs.
- Maintain medical and scientific knowledge to enable peer-to-peer scientific exchange.
- Demonstrate high proficiency in interpersonal skills for effective engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, within and outside of MA.
- Execute and support development of tactical field plans for engagement with the medical/scientific community for a product.
Requirements
- MD, PhD, PharmD, DNP in health-related sciences.
- Minimum of 3-5 years in scientific/medical experience in research-based pharmaceutical industry.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience working in Medical Affairs.

- $132,500 - $221,500
