About the Role

Join a cohort of Associates in New York to learn the alternative investment industry and work alongside senior sales professionals on live commercial opportunities. This program offers an apprenticeship in sales origination and process management, providing valuable career experience.

Responsibilities

  • Produce written account briefs on prospective clients, including fund history, strategy, and key personnel.
  • Prepare support packs for client meetings, pitches, and RFP responses.
  • Monitor market data and regulatory sources to identify new fund launches and service provider changes.
  • Track and report on trends in coverage areas, sharing a written point of view with the commercial team.
  • Utilize a commercial technology stack including Salesforce, Outreach, and Preqin.
  • Apply AI tools for account research, drafting, list building, and meeting preparation/follow-up.
  • Help set standards for AI tool usage within the commercial team and share best practices.
  • Research and prioritize prospective clients to inform sales outreach.
  • Build messaging, talking points, and track responses for sales outreach.
  • Prepare senior sales professionals for client meetings and support RFP/RFI responses.
  • Maintain data integrity in Salesforce, including pipeline accuracy.
  • Build and validate target lists for sales campaigns.
  • Support campaign outreach execution and track performance.
  • Produce written campaign readouts detailing successes and recommendations.
  • Map and prioritize attendee lists for industry conferences.
  • Support meeting outreach for events and provide briefs to attending teams.
  • Attend priority events and support post-event follow-up.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in finance or technology, but other disciplines are considered.
  • Demonstrated success and proactivity in achieving results.
  • Clear, confident written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build and develop relationships at all levels, internally and externally.
  • One to three years of experience in a related role.
  • Genuine interest in financial markets, particularly private capital.
  • Strong analytical instincts and comfort with detail.
  • Resilience and self-direction, with the ability to handle rejection as information.
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple competing workstreams against deadlines.
  • Competency with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Comfort with technology and curiosity about applying AI tools to commercial work.
  • Passion for a career in commercial and sales, with a desire to win new business.
  • Understanding that this is a sales program within a company in scale-up mode.
