About the Role
This role sits in Operations, reporting to the Data Analyst Manager. You will help establish the company's data practice, including documented pipelines, governed metric definitions, and a structured process for departmental data requests. You will focus on improving the understanding of product telemetry, platform usage, license utilization, and adoption trends, turning customer usage and adoption analytics into a production-grade system and building new metrics and signals.
Responsibilities
- Take operational ownership of usage and adoption pipelines and their alerting.
- Reconcile figures derived from the product-usage tool.
- Separate development and production environments and mature CI/CD for repeatable deployment and reliable rollback.
- Build and maintain Bronze-to-Gold pipelines in Databricks, Unity Catalog metric views, and the associated permissions/row-level-security model.
- Extend automated data quality checks across gold-layer tables and validate outputs against existing Power BI reports.
- Co-own the scoping of new usage and adoption signals with Product and Post-Sales, prioritizing upsell signals, the ROI narrative, and confirming instrumentation needs.
- Handle data realities such as schema drift, inconsistent field naming, soft deletes, and incremental loads.
- Lead consolidation of additional data sources (support tickets, audit logs, CRM, customer-facing systems), defining feasibility, effort, cost, and implementation approach for a unified data platform.
- Establish documented pipelines, an access model for raw and transformed data, and a working intake process for cross-department data requests.
- Act as a credible point of contact for CoreView's Databricks estate.
- Integrate automation and AI-assisted tooling into daily work, such as automated monitoring and anomaly detection on metric movements.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years' professional experience building and operating production data pipelines (ETL/ELT) in a commercial setting.
- Hands-on Databricks proficiency including Unity Catalog, Spark Declarative Pipelines, metric views, and the permissions/row-level-security model.
- Strong SQL and Python applied to data engineering work, including building, testing, and supporting pipeline code through to production.
- Experience with data transformation/orchestration tooling such as Spark Declarative Pipelines, dbt, or equivalent.
- Solid grounding in data modeling (dimensional/star-schema approaches) for analytics consumption.
- Experience with Git-based version control and CI/CD practices applied to data pipelines.
- Experience ingesting data from various source systems including CRM, product usage and telemetry, and other business systems.
- Comfortable operating with limited supervision, implementing, documenting, and running to an agreed direction.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
