About the Role
As a co-op student, you will work on meaningful projects that support our operations and give you hands-on experience in a dynamic, safety-focused environment. Join S&C to make an impact on tomorrow’s energy challenges!
Responsibilities
- Collect and compile data and assists in preparing environmental and safety related reports.
- Assist in coordinating training and other health and safety related programs as needed.
- Updating and maintaining safety related tracking system.
- Answer employee inquiries about health and safety policies, procedures, and programs.
- Provide support for other health and safety related projects.
- Additional administrative duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a registered post-secondary co-op program in Health and Safety or a similar field.
- Eligible for a 4 month co-op term starting in Winter 2027.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Strong computer skills to navigate the Physical Demands Analysis software program.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and professionally in all written and verbal communications.
- A team player who is also able to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Normal or frequent minor physical effort required for the day-to-day activity in the workplace. May involve standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs and lifting/moving/using objects or equipment up to 20lbs.
- Acceptable working environment with minor or almost no disagreeable or challenging working conditions as part of everyday expected levels (all jobs will occasionally experience undesirable or disagreeable events).
