About the Role
Join our team at the Oneida Indian Nation's cannabis grow facility in Verona, NY, supporting cloning, plant care, and pest control. This role offers opportunities for cross-training and growth within the cultivation department.
Responsibilities
- Transplant and defoliate plants
- Scout for disease or potential insects
- Prepare rooms for harvest
- Harvest and take down plants
- Defoliate and break plants into smaller pieces
- Hang plants on dry rack
- Clean dry and flower rooms between harvests
- Perform sweeping, mopping, and other required cleaning
- Maintain and clean plant tables
- Maintain plant pots
- Report issues to management for timely resolution
- Be aware of workspace hazards
- Retain and understand department-specific training
- Report safety incidents/concerns and comply with follow-up actions
- Comply with area safety requirements, state regulations, and PPE requirements
- Follow GMP, biosecurity, sanitation, and other quality and compliance requirements
- Perform record keeping accurately and completely as directed
- Maintain and calibrate tools, equipment, and machinery as directed
- Report and escalate safety & quality concerns
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Cultivation Manager or Leads
Requirements
- Must be 21 years or older
- Ability to work with a team
- Ability to stand on feet for up to 10 hours
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Follow directions from the Cultivation Manager and Leads
- Effectively support team members
- Capacity to adapt to changing circumstances
- Handle setbacks and maintain composure under pressure
