About the Role
Ninox is a Berlin-based low-code platform enabling teams to build essential business applications. We are an established company with 12 years in the market, backed by venture capital, and are experiencing solid growth. This role is crucial for leading and developing Finance, IT, People, and Operations, aligning them with common standards and service levels, with a strong emphasis on financial management.
Responsibilities
- Lead Finance, IT, People, and Operations, managing a team of nine across four disciplines.
- Align the four disciplines under common standards, service levels, and priorities.
- Serve as the point of contact for C-level executives and team leads in other departments.
- Oversee the entire accounting cycle, including AR/AP, month-end closing, and financial reporting.
- Manage systems generating financial data, including DATEV, billing platforms, CRM, and data warehouse.
- Integrate systems using AI-based standards to establish continuous reporting.
- Coordinate IT and Office functions through standards, service levels, and priorities.
- Oversee hardware, onboarding, and compliance standards (ISO 27001, 9001).
Requirements
- Several years in a senior finance role within a growing company, with direct responsibility for month-end closing from booking entries to reporting.
- Ability to act as a player-coach, capable of performing team tasks during absences.
- Solid German accounting practices (HGB, DATEV, Payroll) and experience working with tax advisors.
- Proven leadership experience, managing teams both technically and disciplinarily, ideally in accounting.
- Confidence in setting standards for IT and People functions without being a system administrator or labor lawyer.
- Proficiency in SaaS metrics: ARR, MRR, gross and net retention, deferred revenue, cohort analysis, and related reporting.
- Demonstrated experience in replacing manual processes with automated ones, such as self-building reports or automated reconciliations.
- Ability to discuss data warehouse, billing systems, and CRM without requiring a developer.
- Negotiation-level German and fluent English.
- Experience with various compliance frameworks such as ISO, GRC, ISMS is a significant advantage.
- Experience with Due Diligence, Audit, or a financing round from an internal perspective is advantageous.
- Familiarity with funding programs like GRW or IBB is advantageous.
