About the Role

NAC is seeking an Electrical Project Manager experienced with high voltage installation for Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant projects in the Greater Toronto Area. The Project Manager is responsible for the overall health, safety, and successful completion of the project, leading the team with a positive approach.

Responsibilities

Create and manage project teams, ensuring effective collaboration.
Assist with pricing extra work and tracking project changes.
Generate and review RFI's.
Oversee the equipment control log.
Review O&M's.
Manage owner communications, training plans, schedules, and sign-off documentation.
Ensure quality control program meets project requirements.
Review estimates to identify opportunities for margin improvement.
Attend bi-weekly meetings with project and trade superintendents, and forepersons.
Establish and track goals for all team members.
Manage project closeout, including substantial completion, total completion, and warranty systems.
Document lessons learned for future project improvements.
Recommend scope changes to drive success and increase profits.
Oversee the work program of project team members, including coordinators, HSE officers, and supervisors.
Delegate tasks based on team strengths and monitor completed work.
Maintain good working relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.
Foster positive relationships with all workers, setting high standards for productivity and quality.
Monitor the efforts and billing of third-party workers.
Serve as the key point of contact for electrical submittals, ensuring contract compliance.
Engage with vendors, consultants, and other stakeholders as needed.
Assist project teams with submittal decisions, considering CPM schedules.
Attend FAT's as required, ensuring equipment deficiencies are rectified before shipment and proper documentation is received.
Assist with awards, reviewing contract documents against quotations and BoM's.
Identify potential scope gaps and communicate them to the project team.
Generate reports as requested by the Operations Manager.
Assist with reviewing and defining technical scopes of work, including testing requirements and studies.

Requirements

Construction related degree/diploma or equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
Experience with high voltage installation is a key requirement.
5+ years of experience as an Electrical Project Manager.
Exposure to similar heavy construction projects.
Proven Project Management experience.
Experience with facility commissioning/automation and closeout is an asset.
Ability to develop and manage detailed work plans, project schedules, estimates, and resource plans.
Proven track record for productivity, profitability, and cost analysis.
Strong computer skills related to the Construction/Electrical Industry.
Ability to establish key project metrics and manage accordingly.
Advanced knowledge of various construction disciplines, safety regulations, scheduling, planning, cost control, and engineering drawings.
Demonstrated success in project delivery and execution of project management methods.
Intuitive grasp of organizational structure for managing cross-departmental and cross-disciplinary resource allocation.
Effective negotiation, diplomatic, and conflict resolution skills.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with all levels of staff.
