About the Role
Join Brothers of Mercy, WNY’s largest 5-star Senior Wellness Campus, located east of Buffalo. As part of our Sacred Heart Home Adult Home, you’ll provide compassionate assisted living services in a supportive and rewarding environment. We consistently rank on WNY’s “Best Places to Work” list and are seeking caring, dependable Personal Care Aides (PCAs) to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance with daily living activities including dressing, grooming, toileting, bathing, and walking
- Support resident comfort, safety, and dignity while respecting Resident’s Rights and HIPAA policies
- Answer call lights promptly and make unit rounds as scheduled
- Monitor and report changes in resident conditions to the staff member in charge
- Assist with resident meals, hydration, and weights, reporting significant changes as directed
- Help with laundry, bed making, and maintaining a clean, orderly living environment
- Promote independence, encouragement, and companionship for residents
Requirements
- PCA certification preferred
- Ability to work well as part of a team in a supportive care environment
- Compassionate and patient with strong communication skills
