About the Role
Weave builds and deploys bimanual robots operating in customer homes. You'll work across the entire technology stack, from on-robot drivers and services to cloud backend, inference infrastructure, and customer-facing applications. This role involves shipping code at any layer to ensure robot capabilities reach users and systems.
Responsibilities
- Ship features end to end, from data originating on the robot through backend services to customer-facing applications.
- Build customer applications including web, mobile, and real-time interfaces for robot state and control.
- Build the fleet backend, including telemetry ingestion, remote operations tooling, and deployment infrastructure.
- Address issues directly on the robot, such as instrumenting services or fixing APIs.
- Accelerate the team by building tools like teleoperation consoles, data browsers, and operations dashboards.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience shipping production software across frontend/mobile, backend services, infrastructure, or systems software.
- Proficiency in TypeScript and Python or Go, with the ability to work with C++ or Rust.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems fundamentals, including API design, streaming data, WebSockets or gRPC, databases, and failure modes.
- Competence in cloud deployment, containers, CI/CD, and self-managed observability.
- Demonstrated ability to debug issues across service boundaries, languages, and machines.
- Cross-functional experience, resolving system-wide issues and boundary questions.
- Product judgment to ship the right product from a simple request without a detailed spec.
