About the Role
digiS, the Berlin Research and Competence Center for Digitization, is seeking to expand its team in public relations and knowledge communication regarding the various aspects of 'digitization in the cultural heritage sector'. This is a part-time (50%, 19.7 hours/week), permanent position.
Responsibilities
- Conception, organization, and implementation of knowledge and experience transfer formats on topics of digitization and digitality in the cultural heritage sector.
- Planning, execution, and preparation of workshops, conferences, and other event formats – in person, online, and hybrid – for further training, networking, and professional exchange with project and network partners from culture and science.
- Further development of existing and conception of new mediation, exchange, and event formats, especially with a view to participatory approaches.
- Communicative support of digiS's work and events, as well as creation of target-group-oriented content for different formats and channels, especially website, blog, newsletter, and social media.
- Management and further development of the digiS website based on WordPress and social media channels on LinkedIn and Mastodon, including the further development of the social media strategy.
- Participation in digiS's network and public relations work, as well as in publications and reporting, and in the conception and further development of corresponding information and communication materials.
Requirements
- Completed scientific university degree in a humanities or communication science subject.
- Sound knowledge and proven practical experience in the areas of public relations and social media, especially at the interfaces of culture and IT.
- Conception and implementation of participatory event formats – online, hybrid, and in person – for heterogeneous target groups, preferably from culture and science.
- Collaboration with partners from civil society.
- Development and implementation of educational and mediation offers for the aforementioned target groups.
- Very good knowledge in the use of Canva, InDesign, and other Adobe products for the design of communication and advertising materials, as well as experience with WordPress and common office applications.
- High linguistic affinity as well as pronounced stylistic and textual accuracy in target-group-oriented communication.
- Very good German and English language skills, both written and spoken.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, as well as a high degree of reliability and responsibility.
- Ability and willingness to quickly and flexibly familiarize yourself with new subject areas and software applications.
- Enjoyment of appreciative and cooperative teamwork.
