About the Role
The Manager - Line Maintenance is responsible for the safe, compliant, efficient, and cost-effective management of all line maintenance activities across the company's national network. This includes oversight of company-employed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AMEs) and third-party line maintenance providers. The Manager ensures all line maintenance activities adhere to Transport Canada regulations, company policies, and industry best practices, maintaining the highest standards of safety, reliability, and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Lead all day-to-day line maintenance operations across the national network.
- Ensure consistent execution of maintenance activities across all locations.
- Establish standardized operating procedures and work practices.
- Manage the performance of contracted maintenance providers.
- Promote a proactive safety culture.
- Ensure compliance with CARs, AMO procedures, MPM, Company Maintenance Control Manual, Maintenance programs, and OEM maintenance documentation.
- Provide leadership for AMEs, Crew Chiefs, and Base Supervisors.
- Manage performance, coach and mentor employees, and support succession planning.
- Oversee workforce planning, employee engagement, and scheduling.
- Support recruitment and labour relations.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years aviation maintenance experience.
- Minimum 5 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Experience managing multiple maintenance locations.
- Experience working within a Transport Canada AMO.
- Experience managing customer fleets.
- Experience overseeing third-party maintenance providers.
- Experience leading geographically dispersed teams.
