About the Role

This senior role involves leading the London Corporate Transactions & Advisory (CT&A) Product Group's Knowledge & Training and Thought Leadership team. The team delivers practical knowhow and advice to lawyers, focusing on company law and corporate governance, and driving the adoption of legal technology.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the London CT&A K&T and TL team, including performance management and strategic direction.
  • Oversee implementation of the CT&A K&T and TL business plan.
  • Lead collaboration with the Corporate Governance Team on legal and regulatory developments.
  • Run the London Corporate Knowhow Committee.
  • Analyze forthcoming legal/regulatory developments in company law and corporate governance.
  • Respond to fee earner queries on company law and corporate governance matters.
  • Contribute to legal/regulatory consultation responses.
  • Support partners on work relating to external legal committees.
  • Prepare and present summaries on legal/regulatory developments.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge database, optimized for AI tools.
  • Encourage fee earners to share knowhow.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of knowhow collections.
  • Identify improved ways to capture, organize, and share knowhow.
  • Maintain, review, and update existing company law and corporate governance templates.
  • Identify and create new company law and corporate governance templates.
  • Improve template accessibility and ease of use, including through automation and AI optimization.
  • Prepare and/or deliver training on company law and corporate governance.
  • Deliver knowledge updates on company law and corporate governance.
  • Support the development, adoption, and effective use of legal technology tools, including AI.
  • Promote and assist fee earners with the use of legal technology tools.
  • Support the responsible use of legal technology tools in line with firm policies.
  • Collaborate with Knowledge Lawyers and information specialists in other Product Groups.
  • Collaborate with other Knowledge Lawyers and information specialists globally.
  • Participate in external Knowledge Lawyer community discussions.

Requirements

  • Existing Knowledge Lawyer (PSL) with significant senior experience in company law and corporate governance.
  • Experience in M&A (including private M&A, joint ventures and reorganisations) is beneficial.
  • Strong drafting skills.
  • Good attention to detail.
