About the Role
The Group Sales Coordinator is a cornerstone of the business’s operations at Dizzy's Club. Acting as a liaison between service, guests, and management, this role requires a resourceful, professional, polished, and intuitive individual who serves as the first point of contact for guests. This position operates independently and offers significant opportunities for skill development and advancement into management.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support training initiatives for host and front-of-house team members to ensure exceptional guest service standards.
- Communicate and coordinate with clients in preparing and managing group sales inquiries and/or contracts via emails and/or phone calls.
- Manage and respond to guest and client communications in a timely and professional manner by email and/or phone calls.
- Oversee the setup and organization of the dining room for group events and daily service.
- Ensure all opening, rolling, and closing procedures within the host department are executed accurately and efficiently.
- Perform closing duties as needed, ensuring smooth end-of-day operations.
- Execute additional assignments and special projects as directed by management.
- Support overall service execution to ensure seamless and high-quality guest experience.
- Perform general administrative duties to support front-of-house operations.
Requirements
- 2 years of NYC full-service restaurant experience.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Professional & hospitable demeanor, style, and e-mail etiquette.
- Demonstrates exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexible availability to work afternoons, evenings, and late-night shifts as required.
- Strong hosting skills.
- Demonstrated experience in both serving and bartending, with a strong understanding of food and beverage service standards.
- Must be able to provide valid documentation that you are legally eligible to work in the United States.
