About the Role

The AI Security function is engineering the controls that allow the firm to adopt frontier AI quickly and safely. The function works across engineering, infrastructure, cloud and security to build controls into the platforms, inference gateways and developer tooling already used across the firm.

Responsibilities

Design and implement security controls in inference gateways, platforms, and developer tooling as code and configuration.
Embed controls in systems to make the secure option the default.
Define standards and patterns for building with AI.
Define agent identity, permissions, and enforcement mechanisms.
Build telemetry to record agent activity.
Establish methods for proving agent and automation activity for audits.
Secure developer harnesses, plugins, and their dependencies and provenance.
Own secrets handling and vulnerability management for AI tooling.
Set provenance and integrity requirements for models and components.
Threat model live systems including platform, gateway security, agent identity, permissioning, and the AI supply chain.
Deliver remediation resulting from threat modeling.
Identify gaps in control coverage and prioritize remediation.
Make and document control decisions in novel areas.
Set and own the technical direction for the function’s core areas.
Drive adoption of secure defaults, governed identities, and gateways with audit trails.

Requirements

Experience with LLM platforms, inference gateways, or agent frameworks.
Eight or more years of experience in security engineering, software engineering, platform engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Strong academic record in computer science or software engineering.
Ability to build and ship controls in production systems.
Depth in application security, platform and cloud security, or security architecture, with breadth across others.
Hands-on experience securing cloud platforms and CI/CD pipelines.
Judgment to make control decisions with incomplete information in areas without established practice.
Fluent day-to-day use of coding agents.
Experience or willingness to learn working in a regulated or high-security environment.
Experience or willingness to learn in detection engineering or incident response.
Experience or willingness to learn defining security practice in a new function or capability.
