About the Role
As a Security Engineer, you'll implement, maintain, and operate technical security controls to protect critical systems and services across easyJet. This hands-on role involves supporting security tooling, providing technical security expertise, and improving cyber security capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Implement, configure, and maintain operational security systems and technical security services.
- Support the reliability and effectiveness of security tools and controls.
- Assist with vulnerability remediation and security control improvement activities.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and operational guidance.
- Support security investigations and remediation activities alongside Security Operations and Incident Response teams.
- Provide security-focused technical support and consultancy to Technology teams across the business.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of the security engineering roadmap.
- Keep up to date with emerging cyber security threats, technologies, and industry best practice.
Requirements
- Experience working in security engineering, technical security, or IT operations.
- Enjoy solving complex technical challenges and strengthening cyber security controls.
- Thrive in a collaborative environment working alongside technology and security specialists.
- Play a key role in protecting systems, information, and services used across a leading European airline.
- Strong technical foundation, a proactive mindset, and a passion for security engineering.
- Understanding of common security technologies and security control implementation.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work methodically and follow defined technical processes and standards.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Collaborative approach and ability to build effective working relationships across technical teams.
