About the Role
We are looking for a Project Manager to join our team in London. This role is responsible for the full end-to-end delivery of business change projects within our Global Change Portfolio, ensuring successful, timely, and on-budget delivery.
Responsibilities
- Lead and drive project delivery, including stakeholder and SME engagement.
- Define project scope and objectives in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Ensure a clear project plan is maintained, tracking tasks, timelines, resources, and milestones.
- Evaluate and allocate resources effectively for successful project delivery.
- Manage business change project budgets throughout their lifecycle.
- Lead the development, approval, and management of business cases and benefit realization plans.
- Ensure change impact analysis and readiness assessments are conducted.
- Communicate clearly and transparently, acting as a central point of contact.
- Identify, document, and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among team members and stakeholders.
- Monitor and report on project progress, taking corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure project documentation and outputs meet quality standards.
- Address conflicts and challenges within the project team or with stakeholders.
- Support the development of the wider Project Delivery team through knowledge sharing.
- Perform other Project Delivery activities as agreed by leadership.
Requirements
- Experience in project managing business-focused transformational changes within the insurance industry, including Guidewire solutions, covering the E2E project life cycle.
- Experience leading and shaping multi-functional workstreams, including matrix management of teams (8-20+ FTE) across people, processes, data, and technology.
- Proven track record of managing projects with budgets of £1-£5m and timelines of 6-18+ months.
- Ability to manage complex requirements in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, balancing detail with a high-level project view.
- Experience working with IT project managers and change management functions on complex, transformational projects across multiple regions, markets, or product lines.
- Insurance industry knowledge, particularly of the London insurance market and specialty insurance.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to drive executive decision-making and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Adaptable communication methods to engage stakeholders and SMEs across various levels.
- Ability to manage ambiguity, change in project scope and timelines, and competing priorities with resilience.
- Proven understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid).
- Excellent organizational, time management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal, influencing, and communication skills (written and verbal).

- University Degree, relevant professional qualification or demonstratable industry experience is required
- CII Certification and PRINCE 2 or equivalent is strongly preferred
