About the Role

The Plan Build Specialist is responsible for setting up, designing, amending, and changing plans for new and existing customers, primarily supporting the Group and Individual lines of business. This role involves interpreting sales documents, developing plan designs, facilitating client meetings, entering data into the administrative system, and collaborating with various internal departments.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in RFP reviews when required.
  • Review sales documents to understand sold products.
  • Review and interpret previous carrier documents.
  • Develop and map plan design on the Plan Design Template.
  • Facilitate client meetings to gather requirements, review documentation, and obtain sign-off.
  • Enter client structure and plan design into the Administrative System.
  • Collaborate with Client Administration on enrollment requirements.
  • Collaborate with PSOS for rules attachments.
  • Collaborate with Underwriting for financial information.
  • Collaborate with IT for large implementation requirements.
  • Interpret and process plan changes and plan amendments.
  • Complete plan design analysis.
  • Respond to inquiries and manage issue resolution.
  • Review detailed history reports.
  • Complete accumulator mapping template.
  • Collaborate with Implementation Services and IT Support.
  • Manage multiple projects with varying degrees of complexity.
  • Meet established timelines to complete projects.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders as required.
  • Peer review work to confirm accuracy.
  • Ensure supporting material is retained.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in business, administration or related discipline.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in benefits and / or related industries.
  • Proficient in benefit administration issues, claims processes, and group contracts / booklets.
